Since we’ve opened, we’ve been dedicated to changing the lives of people one person at a time, through martial arts, education and coaching. We strive to provide a safe, comfortable and welcoming atmosphere for all students and family members. We take pride in creating an environment for individuals to achieve, develop and succeed in their personal goals.
We strongly believe that martial arts can be for everyone, regardless of age, gender or experience levels. Shadow BJJ Head Instructor Professor Calvin Nguyen Certified Instructor Professor Calvin earned his Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt under World Champ 2nd degree Black Belt, Professor Raul Jimenez. He has always had a passion for martial arts with 12+ years of teaching, training, and competing in BJJ. After graduating from the Aviation Institute of Maintenance and becoming an Aviation Technician, he decided to dedicate himself to spreading the art and sharing his knowledge of Jiu Jitsu. Throughout his journey, Professor Calvin has had the opportunity to share the mat with many high level practitioners. During his experiences, he’s created an effective and systematic approach to learning Jiu Jitsu.
